Forced vaccinations
The methodology of studies that prove safety and effectiveness are not small things, they are at the crux of this thread.

Now, let's get back to topics that pertain to Puna/Hawaii. This topic is not relevant to our lives here.

Tom K: in the Baloney Detection Kit video the presenter does not use the term ESP, again my apologies . He referred to ghosts and psychic telepathy which are " certainly not true" I used ESP as an umbrella term.

Tom you need to learn to be open-minded.

Here is a study that shows the effectiveness of the HPV vaccine is real. Are you open minded to the results?

Now, do we need a study that shows spirituality and ESP are real? Or do we accept the possibly that their effectiveness does not require the same kind of proof as medical practices? And does it follow that people who believe that supposition are willing to accept allegations that medical practices which "seem" wrong can be offered and accepted with less proof but more faith?

MBB - this discussion does affect the girls and young women of Puna, as the unvaccinated will be carriers and spread HPV throughout the district. Hopefully some minds, or even one mind will be changed by this discussion.

edited to correct vaccinated to unvaccinated, thanks Kenney

HOTPE, did you mean the unvaccinated will be carriers?

At the moment my opinion about HPV research and vaccines is that it needs more research and I'm not down with mandatory vaccines....It's interesting how that irks some of you to the point of insulting and to displays of perceived intellectual superiority. The earth was once flat, get over yourselves.

Hmmm. Since your opinion has no real effect it does not irk me at all.
Assume the best and ask questions.

So if I'm following your posts in this thread correctly, you are saying that because this one study referred to by a splinter group of pediatricians might (and I emphasize might) be lacking in methodology (it's unlikely, but possible I suppose) then we should ignore all of the other studies including those with a million and two million subjects studied longitudinally (I've linked to several studies you can look at in this thread, please feel free to note any methodology errors, I'm certain the authors would love to hear the feedback). The methodology isn't the crux of this thread, however, as the thread is about mandatory vaccinations in Hawaii. But this is Punaweb, and sidetracking is pretty much what we do.

Will you be printing and selling bumper stickers with that observation?
I want one!

Really? The earth was once flat? I'm pretty sure it's been an oblate spheroid for most of the last 5 billion years or so. It was mistakenly thought to be flat for some time due to a culture that believed a geocentric universe was mandatory to back up their religious beliefs. Even earlier cultures had already figured it out, but nobody was interested in repeating those things as they could lead to painful deaths at the hands of the church.

Here's a link to more research on HPV vaccination:

There are numerous studies out there and the consensus seems to be that vaccination is a good thing. Now where are some actual studies that demonstrate HPV vaccination is not safe...
