If I could move this building with a crane for 500.00 or less I would consider it one of my less expensive f ups and be thrilled.

You will have to be completely ready for the lift, as you will probably have set up time for the crane, rigging time, then lift, rotate and set onto your new "build ready" foundation. Be sure to have temporary cross bracing to keep structure from imploding itself when lifting, as it will want to pull your anchor points towards the middle as you lift.
If you decide to log it over, make sled runners by taking logs running perpendicular to your floor framing about every 4 feet, then use the rollers under these sled logs to reduce friction, and reduce framing "beat up", and use as large a diameter log as you can for the rollers. good luck! We had a shed we wanted to move, and looked into several options. In the end, it was too fragile to move, so we dismantled it and rebuilt it in the new spot.

I hope that's not the case. If it is then the Ag Shed will just stay where it is. Will know n a few weeks.

We are having a hard time finding a number for Keaau Services. Can anyone give me more info?

Keeau Service is actually in downtown Kurtistown, between the Cafe and the 7-11.

Update in case anyone is interested. Keaau Services has not returned my husbands call. I will try next week when I arrive. Hubs managed to negotiate the rough plumbing install so I will give him a break. We have power, DSL and now pipes.
We found a construction company who moves buildings. Very nice person came out to assess and give us a bid. $3,800.00. That's almost what it cost me to build it in the wrong place. So it looks like the 16 x 16 is staying where it is for now.

I've been wondering if one exists -- name them, please? |
