If anyone was to appreciate the irony of it all I would have thought it would be you.
You seem surprised, like you just figured it out.

I appreciate the irony -- it's hilarious -- but it's also a waste of public tax dollars to maintain thousands of pages of HRS when the "rules and laws" amount to "you will be prosecuted if we feel like it" -- and I would hate to see a fine upstanding local businessperson get caught up in that trap.
Not that the dispensary program is going anywhere unless there are State-certified labs to validate the product quality... it's in the rules...

I see kalakoa's point. What if the next president cracks down on this violation of federal law? Clinton and Sanders would probably allow the mmj industry to continue but Trump? I don't know. Some republicans now backing Trump such as Christie are dead set against it. I would be very concerned if I had invested millions into this business.

Part of the problem is that the (all-preempting) Federal rules have not changed, all we have is a "best practices" memo which suggests that the rules will not be enforced in certain circumstances.

Gratitude for Richard Ha participation + responses!
Safety (no pesticides on plants or engineered with toxins) are the main concern in this topic.

As for the money, it will be interesting to see how Hawaii manages that!

Alternatives to smoking is high on our list. First it needs to be converted from buds, leaves etc. From there, convert to the forms the Dept of Health allows. Questions to be considered; safety, effectiveness, cost, demand, etc. This is much more complex than I just described. But, we are taking a serious analysis of all the moving parts. We are serious and are going to provide alternatives to smoking, Thanks for asking.

I think this last post should be a separate topic.

I know old topic, but I found it interesting, here we are over 2 years later and STILL no dispensary.. Is it time to find new people who can actually get it done? Or just make it legal and those who can will. Evidently those with the money to satisfy the State are not following through for the patients.

Dispensaries, if priced like California ones, are a joke. From what I have heard, the 250-300 range of ounces is what will be the norm here in Hawai'i, just like in California. That's ridiculously expensive, it's literally over 100% extra of what I pay currently. Therefore, I don't really see a point to dispensaries at all.
