How to use a roundabout
#91
Now if only people could figure out the new lane exiting Hawaiian Acres from Kua'uli onto Volcano... Lots of people turning right from what is now the left turn lane.

Let's just go back to horses. Then we won't have to worry about roundabouts, collisions, or pavement![Big Grin]

An interesting how to drive video from Italy. Punatics could take some lessons.

no, we'd have a whole different irreversible mess. It's inevitable.

Sort of related: next season's Survivor is GenX vs. Millennials. The GenXers are saying the exact same things about the Millennials as the Baby Boomers said about GenX--basically the same thing Plato was complaining about in the generation that came after his.

In the irreversible mess we're in today... IMO

Appreciated your post grumpyscosmos . Love the Krishnamurti quote too.
Tom, I can usually follow you, but you lost me here. How would PT being a VERY old 60-70's (sour old codger) hippy explain his posts, exactly?
I'm not making the connection. Maybe it's Oldtimers disease...( or sour old codger syndrome)
Btw, I don't have any problem with the roundabout and I can still spell Alzheimer's.

Kenney - apologies, I thought it was obvious, but perhaps not. If you look at PT's posts they are generally complaints and grumpiness about everything and everyone, hence "sour old codger". The connection to sour old codgers and 70s hippies was made by PT.

BillyB - Your post reminded me of a comedy sketch I saw as a kid! (My apologies to anyone with Italian blood):

Aloha Tom. I understand it wasn't you who made the offensive (to me) comment about 70's hippies. Sorry I misdirected my angst.
Happy full moon!

No problem at all, Kenney, I took no offense whatsoever. Occasionally my British sense of humor takes over despite knowing sometimes it isn't that well understood in the US. Can't change that, though. At least these days I'm making a big effort to spell words the American way, but occasionally I'll slip up... [Wink]

wow... so I went through the roundabout last night... no stopping, everyone kept moving and no stopping in the roundabout. Was highly effient for a change. I was Amazed! Almost felt like I was on the mainland for 15 seconds.

Maybe puna is learning how to use a roundabout! Whoooho!
