Rob,

Would you consider limiting the posts/day? Any one person can take over and dominate the whole feel of the place. SO BORING and REDUNDANT!

The same thing happened on the Putzville forum, so Putz put a limit of five posts/person/day.

Or maybe put people on a weekly limit of 10 posts or less. I've noticed that some people only get on once a week or so, and then post on multiple topics; I assume these are either people using library computers or they are really busy and can't bother with Punaweb more than once a week. It would be a shame for them to lose their posting rights because one or two blowhards are constantly posting multiple posts EVERY SINGLE DAY and dominating the conversation.

While I didn't agree with much MGEARY said, I am very sorry he felt so hounded by someone who always has to have the last word that he decided to leave Punaweb entirely. It's a shame that one or two people can turn a community website into their personal blogs and chase others away. Today's NYTimes online had a great article on trolls that was truly eye opening, some of these people are just plain evil, and did some really vicious things to others just for entertainment. It put things into proportion for me, our resident trolls are obnoxious, but not vicious.

There are forum trolls and forum skunks.

Skunks are less vicious, but who needs the stink?

for some people, these kinda places are the only place were they have human contact. It's were they think they have friends!?

Without these remarkable people the island would be nothing. With them it's a carnival. They are generous, courageous and comic. They awake each morning to a fresh day that has forgiven the previous day's outrages. In the pursuit of money they are irresponsible. In the pursuit of happiness, dedicated. They are the perpetual adolescents of the ocean, the playboys of the pacific.
