Since my "Relocating to Puna" string seems to have disappeared I haven't been entering much. Besides after you all met one another at the first Punatic Bash, you have so much to share with one another my stuff just isn't so vital! This is a good thing.

However, It hought I would share the current status with you. We passed Electrical Inspection last week. We passed Plumbing today pending (AND THIS IS WHAT I WANT YOU ALL TO KNOW) the plumbers pulling the proper permit for the UV water Filtration system.

Hazen is finishing up the tile on the fireplace and Sherry will grout it tomorrow. Lanai's are all sanded and ready to be sealed. We just need dry weather to finish touch up on the outside of the house and do the carport. Wow.

The tub is as cozy as I had expected and bubblebaths are lovely to have back in my life. Lots of internal additions for everyone to see so we will have another party here in a month or so if you alll like...

Thanks to you all for your support and friendship. Finishing makes me feel as though I am a PERSON again. Smile I LOVE HAWAII

I nearly forgot to include this weeks "Point your finger at Pam and laugh" report.

I managed to negotiate that darned ramp all these months without issue. Then I had my contractor build me wood stairs that are only about 5 1/2 inches in height so they are easy to negotiate, carry up groceries, etc.... Yay... so a couple days ago I am standing on the landing and I just fall down them onto the concrete. Didn't slip. Didn't have a leg give out. No earthquake. One minute I am standing there talking and the next minute I am thinking fast "how do I keep from bashing in my two front teeth because my face is headed for the concrete!" Fortunately my pride was hurt more then my body but I do have a few nice bruises..... leave it to me. The new bed has arrived so I am sleeping in it of course... and I stocked the fridge and pantry and such... so I get up early one morning and am having my glass of iced tea and cold bagel when it occurs to me .. whack... I have a teapot, a stove, a microwave and a toaster that all work.... COOK SOMETHING! Boy, it's amazing what habits you develop living in a cabin...
Just figured it was time for a Pammie laugh... aloha!

Hi Pam,
Good to hear from you again! Sounds like the Lamont Ranch Manor is just about ready for “occupation”! Deborah and I will be back in late May. We sure would like to stop on by to see the finished product. When we visited you last May there was only the cabin, orchard, and garden. The place must be amazing now!

David D

P.S.: Did you look into those goats?

David,
You are welcome to come compare. It will be fun to see your imprssions after a year. As for the goats, I am totally sold on the Nubians. I have not found a source but haven't looked hard as I am not quite ready for them. I need to fence in a pasture for them first.

Smile Pam

Geez Pam, take it easy will ya!! That gorgeous new home needs someone in great shape to keep it so pretty. Perhaps I should hook up those training wheels for ya!

So happy you are in your new home and in your new bed and reacquainting yourself with all those electronic gadgets in the kitchen to help with the KP duty. Take care and we are looking forward to our relocation and checking in with you at the ranch. Aloha Mella

Naomi,
Laughing at me IS laughing with me, cause I am laughing my own fanny off. I do some stupid stuff. We all do. It's fun to be able to laugh at yourself, really. I see humor in most of my days. Keeps me young.

Mahalo to all for your support and interest. I love it when you call and/or stop by. It's really fun to see the amazement on faces of people who are absent for months and come by again. It's really come together. We are about at the end. There are some unfinished things but that is all budget. It will happen with time. Oh, and I have to do my mosaics. That I will start next week probably.

Aloha Smile

Hey Pam, just wondering how your fairing up there with this torent of rain that we have been getting lately? I hear that area is getting the worst of it. I don't know about you, but I'm about ready to make like Noah and start building and arc...
Aloha,

Jim and everyone,
It is very very VERY wet up here in Glenwoodl no doubt about it. However, here in the new house, up off the ground and with lots of inside space, it only reminds me that I have accomplished what I set out to do: make a space that I could be shut into for weeks without going stir crazy. No chance to do anything outside and the painters are totally frustrated with the weather but I am snug in my cozy bed at night, luxuriating iin my soaking tub with bubblebaths in the evenings and am looking forward to getting the fireplace burning as soon as we pass final; I imagine another week or so.

How are you doing at your end?

Pam
