Wow Don and Lek these are very impressive photos, did you take a professional class?? Really nice and the progress is great. When did you get started on this project? Are you going to have catchment water and which development did you choose. Curious minds need to know!! Aloha, Mella L

WOW! Lek,
You past Jerry and I like we were standing still. We would have had all the interior walls done last night but got rained our.
You have done a beautiful job and the knee braces look great! It looks like the next Punatic party will be at your place instead of ours 8^)

Thanks for the compliment on the pictures Mella.I've not had any "professional training" in photography. We will be on catchment water and are located in HPP off of Makuu. The land was cleared in late November but actual construction began on March 10th.I can't take the credit for the construction and was fortunate to find an excellent builder through our planner at HPM.The house is a Lauhala package home which we've kept pretty much standard. There also will be a 24X28 detached garage/workshop.If the weather cooperates we should have the siding and roof on by April 1st.I'm doing all exterior & interior painting as my contribution to "living the dream".My builder guy is a young local boy who just got his contractors license and has a really ambitious crew working for him.He has made the project very easy and has found me great subcontractors for plumbing, electrical, and drywall. He's even made it easy for me to paint the exterior by building scaffolding all around the house which he'll leave up until I'm finished painting. He of course will use this scaffolding in conjunction with the roof construction. My neighbor is helping me with painting (he has a sprayer) and we are also going to install wood laminate flooring throughout the house, except vinyl in the bathrooms. So,that's about it for now.I'll be trying to keep up on posting our progress and Royall I've been looking at your progress. You've been a busy guy!Looking good!
Aloha to all.

Aloha All:
We spent yesterday covering the windows with plastic sheeting in preparation for painting the eaves.Today was supposed to be a day of primering the overhangs/eaves,but the rain has stopped that plan. The builder is putting on the siding today and HPM delivers the metal roofing on Thursday.Hope I can get that primer and paint on the eaves before the metal goes on.I'll be spraying it and should go pretty quick.Otherwise I'll be up there brushing it on carefully to avoid getting it on the roof metal.Let's all pray for a few rainless days!

It looks like you are going to be able to paint today Lek. I saw starts in the sky when I got up this morning! It'll be good for all of us the job sites today.
The house is looking great!

Thanks Royall:
Weather looked iffy this morning for awhile, but then I got started on priming the overhangs/eaves.Thought my builder would be there with his generator, but he ran out of material and has a delivery scheduled for tomorrow.Anyhow,my neighbor helped me paint the front using good old paint brushes.Tomorrow we'll hope the weather holds and use his paint sprayer and get the rest done.By the way your house is looking good also. One of these days I've got to get down there to see it.Hope your project continues on smoothly.
