Planetary triangle August 20
#1
I'm not sure if any of you caught it last night with that brilliant almost full moon but there's a triangle being formed between Mercury, Jupiter and Venus. It was in the southern part of the sky yesterday around 8p.m. It's really quite brilliant with the different colors of the planets shining in that geometric pattern. There are a few other stars right outside the triangle too. I think it's right near scorpius or at least that's what the Star Chart told me. BTW for anyone who owns a smartphone, there is a free app called Star Chart. It reads the stars for you. Hold your phone up to the night sky and your phone knows where the stars are thru gps and gives you the name of a star anywhere you point the phone. It knows where the horizon is but you can still point your phone toward the earth and it reads the stars in that direction too, right through the ground.

Are you sure that wasn't Antares and not Jupiter? Jupiter was setting in the far west around 8pm and was probably not visible.

Due to the relatively rapid speed of the planets many of the cheaper astronomy programs are not too accurate in their planetary predictions.

Probably just my imagination but Many of The stars or planets seen today seem to move around more these days than thirty years ago. For example, Last year we would see the brightest star or planet from our bedroom window at night, not this year though. Many of the satellites or UFO's that we see at night look like the stars or planets that they are flying by. I often wonder if space hasn't been weaponized or polluted with debris that could also be seen on clear nights. This old Cassini letter always comes to my mind when I see UFO's or changes in the night sky.

This letter that was written to A Sandra Dawson in 1999 wouldn't happen to be the same Sandra Dawson who has been working for this TMT project here on the Big Island would she?

Yes gypsy, I believe you have stumbled onto one of the great secrets of outer space, first uncovered in the 1980's. Here's a brief transcript of that initial transmission:

Obi Wan Kenobi: That's no moon…it's a space station.
Han: It's too big to be a space station.
Luke: I have a very bad feeling about this.

Wow. I know people who designed one of the Cassini experimental packages. To read this nonsense for the first time now from over 10 years ago, is mind boggling and depressingly sad.

Geothermal-powered TMT space defense lasers, or Kalapana homing beacon?

History will be the judge.

Did you know that the us government has developed invisible contrails in response to public outcry? The only way they can be detected is through their unusual diffraction of light, which is why it is more common these days to see double rainbows and moving constellations. That's right folks, when you see a double rainbow, you are being secretly poisoned! Please forward this and keep truth alive; every person you forward this to will be eligible for an environmental improvement grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Mars and Saturn are currently close in the sky to Antares, the brightest star in Scorpius. They can be seen toward the SSW in the evening. Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter are visible close to the western horizon just after sunset, but certainly not visible from Puna.

Space Pearls.
Resistance is futile.
