Both are "desecration" with money attached. Completely different than resorts, cruise ships, and oil-fired generators, which have no money and cause no side effects whatsoever.

I don't believe Gypsy69 should be able to comment any longer.

By not taking the buyout he must not have a problem with geothermal.

Maybe he just researched all those "hot deals" on the mainland and found PGV air is waaay better!

They both represent change.... For some, like Mr. Gyp, change that isn't under their control or that directly benefits them, is by definition bad and to be feared...

Perhaps I have already made this observation, but it seems to me that if one choses to live on the flanks of one of the world's most-active volcanoes, one would expect to have to deal with an occasional venting of unpleasant gases, roasting hot lava etc., Goes with the turf, so to speak.
