Don't know how old your oven is, but check the regulator and hose for leaks. Mine was doing the same thing and discovered a cracked hose that made the regulator shut down due to no back pressure.

I went with a rather expensive italian oven and have to sit and hold the button on the entire time it is cooking or else it shuts off. I blame myself for not using it frequently. Seems the protection mechanism is frozen in the off position.
That was my thinking until reading Tink's posting again. I have indeed chamged my regulator and was thinking it seemed cheap and small. Maybe the oven is drawing so much more gas than my stove that I have a low pressure in the line too.

I found this on another website. My oven is likely intended also for natural gas and niw am wondering if flame from a propane tank is significantly different.
quote:
Had a similar problem with a different oven; there is a heat sensor in the flame and this was off position, had to do a mod as we are on bottled gas and the oven was factory set for natural gas (even though it was supposed to have been converted). The manufacturers emailed me the mod (drawing), took ½ hour to do but no problems ever since.

There is a difference between propane and natural gas, and if you buy a stove or dryer (and probably any appliance) made for natural gas, you have to get and install a conversion kit to make it usable with propane.I had Michael of Michael's Repair here in HPP do the conversion, and I'm glad I did.
