Unless this is something new, there was an independent documentary company that filmed a spec series about Cinderland a few years ago. It was intended for NatGeo, but they declined to pick it up for broadcast.
The production company posted notices around Pahoa, offering $250 a day to fill out the cast. From the preview clip, it looks like that money may have been budgeted for attractive, young woman who can dance.
I think the narrative was that Jezus is like a modern day Noah, preparing his followers to build giant survival rafts/boats/etc that will float off atop the coming 1700 foot tsunami (predicted by Jezus).
My first question was, wouldn't it be easier to just construct a New Cinderland, in Volcano? Lean-to shelters are easier to build than a boat, less material, and if they leak you can fix the roof when the rain stops. You probably won't get that opportunity on a leaking, sinking boat temporarily floating away on the Pacific Ocean. (Take a look at the shelters built by Cinderland residents in the video. Now, imagine that skill set transferred to boat building)

So, have they picked a date when this cataclysm will occur yet?

alaskyn66,
Maybe this is a new series because Jezus' first prediction for Doomsday was 2/5/2016. From the unused NatGeo promo:
Jezus believes that on Feb 5th, 2016 the waters will rise and a great flood will wipe out the earth. The people of Cinderland must build an Ark. He believes they are the chosen people who will survive the apocalypse and begin a new civilization. But a failed attempt to launch a prototype ark and conflict with a newcomer test Jezus' leadership. Can he maintain faith in himself in the face of adversity? Can they even get the prototype on the water?

Nuts like these have predicted doomsday thousands and thousands of times over the last thousand years. Of course, all of them have been wrong.
Sir Isaac Newton calculated (notice, calculated, not predicted) that doomsday would happen around 2060. I'm sure "Jezus" of the Pahoa Cult had similar brainpower as the first scientist who was ever knighted, even though Newton is credited for discovering gravity, developing the laws of motion, and forming the basis of modern physics. Newton is also credited for discovering the color spectrum, correctly calculating the shape of the Earth including the flattened poles, and he invented calculus (if you don't believe Leibniz). So when 2060 comes and goes and the Earth continues shooting through the universe shaped exactly as Newton described and even his doomsday calculation is ultimately proven to be false, maybe then we can finally stop drinking the Kool-Aid.
Until then, if anybody is going to believe any doomsday theories, at least pick one calculated by a genius.

Looking at his Facebook page makes me skeptical he actually believes what Aslan claims. Sounds like Eugene/Jezus is just openly self-promoting. Aslan is kind of a gullible twit so it doesn't surprise me.

Does this mean we won't have to worry about the HPP board of directors any more? If so, I'm all in favor of it.

lol, its just Eugene Andrews aka JeZus Cinderland trying to stir up imaginary crazyiness to get more filming of documentaries at his place, thus more business... CNN, National Geographic etc ... he is 100% normal, I talk to him off and on, seen him a while back at Island Naturals, a far more normal guy than your average Puna resident, and Im not talking Punatics, he has more common sense that an average HPP resident in reality, or even an average PunaWeb member ie, debunks conspiracies, doesnt fall for BS, eats normal, doesnt fearmonger, researches before believe hoaxes etc. doesnt fall for fake news, sees BS easily because he has common sense, etc. he is just a 'business man' in really, trying to stir up some 'talk' about the place he owns, and he knows we all are laughing.. he's laughing too believe me... he's done a few of these in past, and real brainless kooks like Puna's own Damon Tucker cant see his jokes and thinks he is serious because Damon lacks common sense...
Ive known Eugene for ten yrs... aloha
