Hopefully you will someday realize what a horrible affliction racism is. Someday soon.
What if you polled all the French people on the island and they all said Non. What would that prove? Why should a French vote count more than any other vote?

if someone is half native Hawaiian, do they get half a vote?
When are you leaving?

"My point was to also have a Hawaiian only poll, preferably taken on the big island where the TMT project wants to be. What are you afraid of TomK?"
I would have been quite comfortable if you simply asked for a vote (your word) for native Hawaiians. It would have said something about what native Hawaiians thought. Instead, you pointed out all the races and nationalities that shouldn't have a vote.

Apart from the fact that basing a vote on "race" is disgusting, it's also not practical. How can anyone prove what "race" they are or aren't?
It's not something that actually exists, it's been dreamed up by people who think others are less worthy due to the curl of their hair or the hue of their skin.

Technology solution: sequence the DNA of all voters to determine their blood quanta and rank their votes accordingly.
Simpler solution: for purposes of voting, "race" is usually a proxy for "money". Simply collect the tax ID of all voters, then rank their votes according to total income and/or assets for the previous fiscal year.
people who think others are less worthy
I don't think anyone is "less worthy", but nor do I think it's fair for "some people" to block scientific progress and hold the economy hostage. If they were proposing an alternate use for Mauna Kea that would generate more revenue than TMT, that would be a different discussion. Driving jobs and money away to another country is not a good investment in the future of our ("their") island.

The last small survey covering this TMT issue was paid for by the TMT
gypsy,
In the last survey you conducted* you reported on March 29, 2017:
Most I know around these parts or the island were expecting an all out "WAR" in the coming day's
I have a few questions about your polling methodology:
1) How many participants were in your survey?
2) Did you ask them about their ethnicity?
3) What was the margin of error?
Thank you, I look forward to your response.

(Tom, thanks for posting the link to the poll. I was on my iPad using the HNN app when I read the story, not as adept with links there as on the web)

with respect. The many bones "IWI" buried atop Mauna Wakea over the past several centuries

gypsy,
Did you read your link? There is not a single mention of Mauna Kea or Mauna Wakea in the entire article. No bones have been discovered at the TMT building site.

HOTPE, well there was the guy who planted bones up there recently. But gypsy has made this claim over and over, so I don't know we bother trying to correct him.

Without weighing in on the TMT issue, one has to give Gypsy credit for persevering in making her case.
She is outnumbered at least 4 to 1 (here and in earlier discussions).
It is not clear how many Punaweb participants might also have concerns about the project, but one can understand their hesitancy to take on the cabal of TMT supporters.

1) gypsy is a he
2) I think (speaking for myself) that factual information, and responses to requests for the source of questionable information would be welcomed. Why not read through the threads and make a list for yourself of gypsy's TMT comments in three columns, and see what you think:
1) Verifiable
2) Proven false
3) Possible, but not verifiable
