Blanked and Pillow on ITO-LAX

Going to the mainland tonight out of Hilo, and it's the first time on the non-stop to LA in years. Do they still provide blankets and pillows, such as they are? Thanks!

Last time I took the United flight a blanket was on my seat, but don't think I was given a pillow. I didn't ask for one so not sure if they'd give you one for free or charge you.

Not sure about coach, but in the section between first and coach, you get a blankie, but then you pay about $60 extra for that.

Wasn't there a recent news article about a passenger getting thrown off a flight because he complained over having to pay $20 for a blanket?

United offers a very small and light blanket that works better behind your lower back for some added comfort. Simply bring your own blanket, pillow, Credit card and ear plugs and enjoy your flight to the mainland.

You do NOT want to know where those pillows and blankets have been.......and it's not been to the cleaners. Bring you own of both. Trust me, I've flown everything from Airliners to Bush planes for the past 15 years. I have flown standby for years on airlines and know plenty of flight attendants. You don't want to know how "often" they are washed.

I already don't know who's been sitting in my seat and wearing my seatbelt, so I figure the pillow & blanket just provide the airplane cooties with the full meal deal.
