Is Puna Rock a good place to buy gravel? If not, who should I buy it from?

I have only used Sanford, no complaints here.

i also use sanford if i need a delivery. if you are just talking buying your own pickup load of gravel then yes, puna rock is easy in, easy out...

For small amounts, they're good. I buy rocks from them and I can pick out exactly what I want. Don't go near closing time or on Saturdays! The woman that's there most of the time is pretty nice.

Usually the pit closest to where you live has the best prices. (Miles are money).

We bought 4 tons of topsoil from them (delivered) and were very pleased. Surveyed the soil with peanut butter sticks. No ants. You didn't say what your application was for but Puna Rock seems to have services others may not (like steam sterilizing cinder for potting mixes etc). But if you just need rocks I would go with whoever is cheapest.
