On our Way Home to Puna
#1
Aloha Punaweb; I have been on this site for over 10 years, mostly reading and we visit every year in anticipation of moving to our home in Puna. Well....we sold our Mass home! On our way finally, to our real home on the island. Aloha all! Is the 1st Sunday at Richardson's still being held? Met a lot of members while Pat Lamount was still with us on some visits. So excited. Mahalo![Smile]

Aloha Lika: No more Richardson's for quite a few years now. Once in awhile a post offering connectivity, but for the most part we are on our own.
Welcome home, and best of luck for your moving experience...

Aloha Lika; we have not been yet, but if you are here in December, there seems to be an annual gathering/cookie exchange at the Keaau Lighted Christmas Parade. If it is happening this year, I'm sure some of the wonderful Punawebbers will let everyone know.

Moving experience...started that process already, we are not taking a lot, mostly clothes, car and tools and my red rider wagon.. Such a great feeling to donate all the boots, coats, heavy sweaters, scarfs, mitts...we've been downsizing for years. Hubby retiring, and I am just following, I am still a young wiper snapper Smile, so will be looking for work come 2018. Have BS in Elementary, so maybe check out substitute teaching. Mahalo to all of you, can you tell I am wicked excited?

I remember doing that in alaska.. I donated a 300.00 dollar coat and a 150.00 dollar pair of winter boots to the hotel staff... while waiting for the plane.

Suggest keeping one sweater if you will live at altitude (or visit the summits).

I break mine out every winter, it's pretty cold before the sun comes up.
