There's a movie streaming platform called Kanopy which works with your library card. It appears in Hilo it can be used with a UHH library card available to non-students over 60 years old for $30 per year. Has anyone used this service? If you have, do you know how many movies can be watched per month?
Here's some information on how it works and what's available:

The Donner Party really wasn't that great of a party, was it?

The trouble is finding movies worth watching. That Kanopy has the Criterion collection, which is good news.
I'm curious to find out more too.

I've ask the Hawaii State Library System to become an involved with this effort by Kanopy...I've received a thank you and an interest on the part of the library to pursue this...a request from anyone who has a Hawaii State Library card may bust the effort...visit

Maybe you can help me through this process. I obtained a University of Hawaii Library Community Card but I'm unable to login to Kanopy.
