Whats your best ? Don't care if it kills me later.
Red spot still growing. Antibiotics and creams only slowing it.

For a staph infection, see a doctor at one of the urgent care places on the East side (there are clinics in Pahoa, Keaau and Hilo). I'm assuming you've already been prescribed medication as you said you've used antibiotics but if they don't help you need to tell a doctor.

Mahalo TomK, you did read the title right ? Or you just want to tell me what I already know.

I read the title. If you have a serious staph infection and have already been prescribed antibiotics which haven't helped, then you need to see the doctor again. The antibiotics were prescribed by a doctor after they diagnosed a staph infection, right?

My theory is use heat compress to draw in the white blood cells. Which is going to make it bigger and redder then you pop it after a few days and clean up with peroxide or whatever.
One time I thought I had strep throat but the resident at Kaiser clinic disagreed and wouldn't prescribe antibiotics. But if you can get it cultured they should find antibiotics for it.

If in a pinch I would keep the wound slathered with raw honey, and then hope it worked. And then hope that it wasn't a flesh eating staph variety.
Home remedy! Best of luck--I've heard some horror stories... Cheers, Kirt

Eat lots of fresh garlic and onion, crushed up and allowed to mingle for 20 minutes. Apply tea tree oil around the wound, but don't transfer the staph around. Then find better antibiotics.

No home remedies to offer unfortunately as my efforts to create a laboratory in my home have failed for various reasons. Without being able to whip up any antibiotics in my house, I highly recommend all infected people seek out the experts (clinics, hospitals and the like).
Get well soon!

Internally:
Oregano Oil Golden Seal Olive Leaf Extract Burdock Root Herbs work synergistically and stronger the more of them you take together. Add any others you can find that fight infections. Externally: Clay, keep repeating Peeled potato poultice I know these sound crazy but have amazing drawing power and a long history prior to modern medicine to extract poisons and infections. The minute you see a red line on your skin forming from a staph infection go straight to Urgent Care or E.R. and get shot of wide spectrum antibiotic. E.R. may also recommend I.V. antibiotics.

So sorry to hear you've got what so many of us in Puna have to struggle with - often. Our ohana has tried many of the home remedies listed in these responses (clay, golden seal, raw honey, etc) with mixed results. We also go off sugar (including fruits) altogether - sugar seems to feed staph. When we catch it early the home remedies take longer but often work. But after the red line or spreading red circle, best to go to urgent care.
