Flint, Michigan has also had some similar water issues in the past few years.
I've heard that there might be water on the moon. Could we or should we attempt to invade the moon, subjugate its people, and desecrate the lunar landscape to build a high-end golf course? Perhaps the Native Hawaiians could or should establish a landing base on Mauna Kea?
Kalakoa, your sense of humor this morning is uplifting. LOL
Because I Don't live on the west side of the big Island I can ask, Would you like a glass of water to help with your Cotton mouth?

Yes, you've heard correctly.
However, the lunar aquifer is already used by the local inhabitants, The Moonahunes. They are a small, happy people who previously lived in Hawaii. When faced with a second wave of Hawaiian discoverers, they retreated to the summit of Mauna Kea, where they held their breath, then jumped as high as possible, and as they didn't weigh much were able to escape earth and float to the moon where they found a labyrinth of habitable lava tubes directly beneath the lunar surface with flowing underground streams that bubbled oxygen.
They play miniature golf.

Can you imagine the distance you could hit a golf ball on the moon? Hole 1, par 274, tee to green: 12 miles.
Green fees problematic at about $875,000.00, tho’.

I am guessing if the wells themselves are showing contaminated water, it is probably a result of another private well pulling from the same underground aquifer with that well having no backflow protection on the irrigation piping. When they flood the fields, the water picks up the pesticide and is mixed by a siphoning action if the field is uphill from the source.
