Aloha PJ

Not dancing as in a club, bar, etc. This was a community type event in Laupahoehoe, held at the HS. A kinda Jr/Sr Prom, theme was "Moments to Remember" with all old music and even an Elvis impersonator. Rumor has it, the next one will be something of a country music theme, perhaps a Patsy Cline...

Anyway, great fun.

Our walls are growing Smile

We have a box.
If a box is defined by 4 walls...
First of four boxes, this is the Master Box - home of the Master Bedrm, Bath, WIC, Sophie's exercise/therapy rm, and my study.

Work at this point is approximately 86 manhours for wall erection. Being this is a ProTEC wall, that is like framing, sheathing, insulating, and sheetrock - rough and not finished.

It's soooo exciting Smile Smile :0

We have a 2nd box!!!

This box will be home to 2 bedroom suites, each with a full ADA bath and fireplace. This will be where our family and friends stay when they visit.

You’re making good progress David! Sophie must really be packing a BIG whip! Cathie and I are making a Costco run next week. If we can get back over before it gets too late we’ll try to stop by for look see if that is OK.

Hey David, wow is all I can say! You go man, bet Sophie is cooking all your favorites this week! LOL

We missed our Malasada Run!
My sis and I didn't make it to Tex's for a Malasada this time, she is a city girl, in Hilo?, LOL. One day Gene and I hope to make it up your way! Thanks for the pics David. Mella

So David, is the next party at your place? We all want to see how this castleblock product is in process, not just after it is done.... Pam

Thanks for the nice comments Smile

Wyatt - your 1st place is SO much more refined than our 1st Smile

Royall - You and Cathie ( or any other interested Punatics) are very welcome to stop in. Basically, we work 7-4 Mon-Fri and by 4PM I am definitely ready for a cold brew. Truth is, I'm really not much good at that point for anything else. LOL. Best to give a call (937-4599) to be sure I didn't have to make an emergency Hilo run. Sat/Sun are work days, but of a different sort, less scheduled.
Not much whip crackin, but I suspect I work as hard for Sophie's smile of satisfaction as I do my own sense of accomplishment.

Mella - sorry you missed your malasada run Sad
Can't say Sophie is doing much cooking at all, but she has driven me to get a bite of supper at the 50's Cafe, which is welcome when tired.

Pam - Yes, we are eager to host some sort of "show-off the Castleblock stuff". Being as we are old sugar land, not exactly suitable for a tree guarded privy. Once we are roofed over and perhaps some water/electric avail, we'll be looking forward to a potluck gathering of sorts.

This week has 2 goals - get the garage walls up and get the PV panels up. Will be so nice not to run the generator.

Saw your pictures and I am very interested in your wall construction methods.

We will be building in HPP late summer of 2007 and are considering concrete walls.

Can you give me contact or website etc. information.

Thanks in advance Smile Susan & Scott currently on the mainland, Tempe, AZ.
