Ah! Of course, it's already been done. But Punatics would make it more interesting, I'm sure.

"Gov. David Ige says he and his team took so long to post a message to social media about the recent missile alert being a false alarm because he didn't know his Twitter username and password."
When you didn't think it could be any more bizarre !

he didn't know his Twitter username and password."
Maybe he should take a tip from one of his workers at the HEMA facility:
For quick & easy access to passwords, write them on a yellow post-it note and tape to your computer monitor! You never know when there might be an emergency. Now you're ready in a flash!

Excellent. Might be worth keeping an eye on Ige's twitter account now that hackers know where the password is stored.

Because ... it wasn't clicked accidentally! Let the conspiracy theories begin!
Or maybe the guy just doesn't want to say anything to help a lawsuit.
In any case, the multiple hearings aren't enough, we need a million dollar study to really understand what happened. And probably an additional tax to cover raises for the department.

Now the employee who did it, does need to be fired. Refusing to cooperate with an investigation?

Inside job?
The not-a-drill message pushing employee might really have been a stooge for Kim Jong-un playing the long game, a trained North Korean operative carefully placed into the bowels of the Hawaii government alert and warning system, allowing Kim Jong-un to test an accessible part of American defense system. Those systems failed. What will Kim Jong-un make of this revelation? Was a treasured kimchi recipe involved in any manner as the operation unfolded? Perhaps handed off to accomplices on a slightly curled yellow post-it note?
