I'm constantly amazed how people can take the dodgiest of websites seriously. Amongst his climate rants that guy posts pictures from his golfing trips.
You just make yourself look foolish.

Put simply, it's all down to the internet. It was hard to access twenty years ago and conspiracy theories didn't reach much of the population. In those days, we (astronomers) used to get typed letters with lots of handwritten notes, usually written in red ink, explaining all the errors we made. I still remember a letter I got from someone who sent me a star chart and joined up some of the stars to make them look like a space shuttle. I forget the argument he was trying to make but was impressed with his dot-joining ability.
Now anyone can create a site that
looks credible. Oh, for the old times when the internet was still young...

Lots of powerful thunderstorms just east and south-east of the island tonight which have just started to push a little more west, i.e, toward Puna and Ka'u. Just so you know. Right now it looks as though Kalapana and Kapoho are about to get a beating.

Mrs. Mimosa - thanks for the reminder about the Ka'u High School site. I noticed their weather station site has been down for a while so have contacted them seeing if the observatories or I can help. Thanks again for posting the link.

It looks as though we're in for yet another period of wet weather starting around Thursday/Friday this week and lasting through the weekend. Not sure about thunderstorms yet, but wouldn't be surprised given the MKWC are calling for cold temperatures at the summits during that time which generally means high lapse rates (i.e., temperatures very low at altitude compared to lower down, so convection is enhanced).
Mrs, Mimosa - I haven't heard back from Ka'u High yet, but it was a holiday weekend. Hopefully, I'll get something this week.
