"when it involves potentially hazardous materials"
Potentially? Who decides when it is? Scientific testing, or just someone's opinion?

Aloha OP, which 'pesticides' are you paranoid of?
please be specific, so I can debunk most of the pseudo-health risks floating around in your head... when these products are used as directed and in moderation...
we know youre against that German company Bayer owned company called Monsanto, so put RoundUp at top of list.
Go tell me how it poisons kids to death.. kids that will (in reality) live to be 85 yrs old on average.... tell me how youre such the expert and know all about this stuff because you took many seminars on the subject for the last 3 decades, and know everything that a Pro would know for having use these products as part of their job yrly....
go tell my how vinegar can work too, at killing weeds and NOT fauking up the soil for yrs... lol explain how gasoline, salt etc do not harm soil like vinegar... yada yada yada go back to Mu and start another civilization of unicorns and mermaids...
aloha

save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha

Okay. Common sense here. Pesticides are poison. Designed to kill small living organisms. We are much larger living organisms. So a small amount isn't going to kill us but certainly is not good for us in any way shape or form.
Andy you want evidence? Just search yourself there's tons of information saying it just isn't good for our bodies.
SURPRISE SURPRISE, there's also tons of info saying it's safe-(info that is funded by the big chemical companies who hire their own scientists.)
Some people want to spread info and help fellow humans out, other people want to continue selling their products.
Here Andy:

More than just opinion Paul. HOTPE something must be wrong with your sniffer if you cannot smell concentrated Roundup. It has a very strong and distinct smell.
Over the years the government continues to pull chemicals off the shelf that were once "okayed". Like "oops, our bad, that chemical that we used to say was safe is now deemed dangerous."
I expect that trend to continue.

And Bananahead, lol, go ahead and keep growing your bananas, (not endemic), taro and ti and spraying your your roundup and being against all other non-native useful plants grown here, yet pro monsanto. Do you need me to dig up more proof of lawsuits winning cases and proving roundup is harmful to the human body?
Here:
just for you bananhead:

Here's the edit:
https://www.consumersafety.org/products/...ed-killer/
Its a website for consumer safety. Read carefully:
"Recent research has shown potential links to cancer from exposure to Roundup Weed Killer’s active ingredient glyphosate. A recent study into the effects of glyphosate showed a potential link with cancer, as well as liver and kidney damage."
And that's just the beginning of the list.
Are you going to try to discredit that website and many others?

What’s the problem? The manufacturers said it was safe. [

"So a small amount isn't going to kill us but certainly is not good for us in any way shape or form."
Do you really believe that? You do know that compounds designed to kill species X can be completely harmless to species Y, right?
"Do you need me to dig up more proof of lawsuits winning cases and proving roundup is harmful to the human body?"
Not directed at me but yes, I do. Reputable sources only thanks.

That "consumer safety" website is an obvious front for bloodsucking lawyers, by the way.
