The "DE's" have both left.

Now I have a happy munchkin song running in my head. Maybe it will be possible to suggest people stay somewhere other than the Mauna Lani without wearing flame retardant.

Then again, they did keep the number of visitors down at Hilo beaches, making more room for me....

What???? What happened? Please tell! This sounds almost too good to be true.
Did they figure that now Kapoho is no more, so their work here is done?

I see KathyH's account is still there but no posts since June 7th, and SheaG's account has been renamed to 8-jun-18.
I hope a barrage of complaints finally had effect. No matter what anyone said about anything, their advice was always to cancel
and go to Waikaloa instead.

Vague comments like "train wreck" described what took place.
Something went down with both Shea & KK, but I only saw the after effects.

I alternate between thinking of the planet as home — dear and familiar stone hearth and garden — and as a hard land of exile in which we are all sojourners. Today I favor the latter view. The word “sojourner”... invokes a nomadic people’s sense of vagrancy, a praying people’s knowledge of estrangement, a thinking people’s intuition of sharp loss: “For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.” - Annie Dillard

It's good they are taking a break (if that's what it is). Ever since the eruption started, the forum seemed to be more about local social matters. It is spiritually draining to be negative for too long. I expect they are exhausted. I do hope they rethink their way of contributing to the forum when/if they return.

Maybe a lawyer sent them a cease and desist order threatening a lawsuit.
