The word evacuee or evac is getting stale to my mind.
Anybody heard some better slang for it or have any ideas?
And on a similar note, a slang for the evac -hosts- who are among the unsung heroes in all this. Screwing up their daily life to house folks, probably long after the romance wears out...
I come up blank on it, but it’s probably just a little too much of the SO2 doing its magic.

Evacuee posers? That's degrading oneself to the lowest degree when there are real people in a horrible sad situation.

Sad is that many are saying they've never been homeless before. It's surreal. BTW, camping gear is a necessity now for those living in tents. Blow up mattresses, futons....
