Sorry, I had to mention this, but at 8 am this morning (11th July) England take on Croatia in the second semi-final of the World Cup. (This is soccer for anyone confused, football for everyone else!).
Please wish this England supporter but long-time Puna resident luck, it's the biggest game for the England football team in nearly 30 years and is almost as important as the cricket matches between England and Australia.
For those that have have been watching the World Cup, I hope you've enjoyed it. It's definitely been one of the best yet.

Best of luck TomK and all the other England supporters here, I think they could do it, they finally have a coach with a lot of smarts, imagine actually practicing penalties for once and that loss to Belgium was a tactical masterstroke.

The F1 race at Silverstone in England this past weekend was the most exciting race in a very long time. The lads are getting a little excited lately.

Aw sorry Tom. I really wanted a France vs. England showdown for the finals. What, with the rich history of loving actions between the two nations it would have been a regular love-fest match.
Without England anymore guess I'll root for the Frenchmen now.

Thanks, everyone. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Well played Croatia and given it's France they'll be playing in the final, I'll certainly be supporting Croatia! EW, by the way, shortly after Ronaldo's amazing goal, Welshman Gareth Bale scored one in the final of the same tournament I thought was even better!
