Uber in Puna

I know I read about an Uber driver here once, but it seemed like it was not working well from what I recall. Is Uber active now? Puna destinations certainly show up on line but can you schedule in advance for an important appoint (ie: can't be late). Has anyone used and are they reliable here or does it just depend on what driver is where when....conversely, is there a local cab?
Any info greatly appreciated!

I quit trying to use them and have switched to Lyft.

Thanks. It doesn't look like you can reserve in advance. Is it prompt and reliable? I only have had one (and very bad) experience with rideshares at the Minneapolis airport, so I don't know if things have improved over the years, but I need a reliable ride, so I am curious . My son on the other hand uses them all the time but Puna ain't LA.

I routinely use Lyft as I will not drink and drive. I think you can now do advance rides. Not sure tho
