Hurricane Lane Conspiracy - '18-08-23
#1
Been very curious about what's going on in Kona, and worrying about them.

It's looking to me as if there is a hurricane Lane conspiracy put out by CD, and abetted by NWS, to keep as much control over the East side as they possibly can.

EDIT:
Why isn't CD there with police and barricades to watch out for their safety?

Was a Democrat until gun control became a knee jerk, then a Republican until the crazies took over, back to being a nonpartisan again.
This time, I can no longer participate in the primary.

CD was actively sitting on chairs at the Papaya Farms checkpoint earlier today. I assume that they were there for our safety.

Keep putting up with it, folks. Maybe they'll build us some camps. For our safety.

No doubt these are DNLR officers in Kona patrolling the waves for anyone being unsafe. Lots of people helping them gather evidence from the breakwall on Ali'i as well.

Gotta tell ya 1Voyager1, I think you might be on to something. I am here on mainland now and the news is over dramatizing everything about this storm. So much that I received multiple calls and text from friends wanting to make sure I was safe. My sister even called me and wanted to know if I was boarding up the windows. I laughed and told her no as I was not on Island but that all was ok. Everything I have seen on news is a bit over the top...even made me text my neighbor to confirm all was fine and they of course laughed at me and told me it was. I really don’t get it...but then again maybe it is a conspiracy.

Big Island has been downgraded to Tropical Storm now.

Not sure what all this East side "for your safety" is about but does appear to be over the top.
Would love to know if others in other areas of our island are also experiencing being so "protected"

The banks are in on it too!
I’ve been getting notices like this one from my credit card companies:

(excerpt)
Dear _____
In addition to the precautions you may already be taking, we recommend taking the following steps, since it may be difficult to access your money and account information during and after the storm:

Keep your checkbook, debit and credit cards with you. You can also add your cards to a digital wallet of your choice.
Get emergency cash with a Citi debit card at one of our fee#8209;free ATMs (find one near you with the ATM Locator in the Citi Mobile® App or at citi.com).

Anyone else getting these? I didn’t during the eruption & don’t remember ever receiving them before or during previous storms. Somebody (Rothschilds?) must be up to something. Do ATM’s even work when the power is out?

Now, now, you got to admit, 20 inches of rain sounds sensation to folks that aren't used to it. Could you imagine that much falling on some concrete slab like LA?

On the mainland, four inches of rain is enough to cause massive flooding. Here, it's a regular day. I had to fly out of Las Vegas once and they shut down the airport because they got 1/4" of rain. It was like they had no idea what it was.
