Chem-trails...

of course it's a joke. I knew it would rile the likes of you. Must admit though, I don't know what the hell they are and often wonder.

But as for the flat earth comment by Leilanidude that's a different story. Why? Are you telling me you're one of those that believes we live on a roundish earth?

It didn't rile me, I just didn't know if you were trying to make a joke or not - I very much doubt others could figure it out either. As Leilanidude pointed out, there are several people who believe in things like chemtrails and a while ago we got our fill on PW from someone who not only believed in chemtrails but also believed that birds were actually shape-shifting aliens.

Given the weird things many in Puna believe, a belief in chemtrails is not unexpected and given your posting history there was no way to figure out if you were being serious or not.

Makuu is a special case, County rules don't always apply.

Makuu is a special case

It’s Hawaiian Homelands. For a long time someone was selling cheap cigarettes with no tax applied. Things are “legal” there until they’re not. See Uncle Roberts for further examples.

As I and others have noted before, it's like Orwell's Animal Farm here: "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."

See Uncle Roberts for further examples.

Technically, Uncle Robert's is County (not DHHL), zoned RA-0.5a, with homeowner exemption.

Practically, it's considered a sovereign state.

It's called a Joke and sarcasm. The sarcasm part you might have heard of. I learned it right here on PW as the primary way of communicating.

I wasn't targeting anyone in particular as is your M.O. Paul

Well I for one.. dont mind the choppers. Yes they are noisy. But tour copters are a good indicator of a healthy economy.. It could be worse, there could be fighter jets flying by daily.

I have a sudden craving for popcorn..
