I live a good way down in Beaches on Puni Makai North. I commute to just before the Airport. I do leave early about 0630 and it takes me 30 minutes and the average. The best is the commute at night about 40 minutes at 1700 and what a ride, headin’ to country. Remember I moved from New Jersey, where the NJ Turnpike was 14 lanes wide. People complain about the merge in Keaau, doesn’t bother me I get to see and say aloha to more people. At Pahoa I make my left and head down the hill till’ I smell the salt water and I know I’m home. Forget about frozen Pizza and TV, I got so much yard and house work ain’t no time for that.
If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it cost when it’s free...now here come the taxes.....

Good god, y'all, are you telling me that in HSRE you can hear the sound of radios blaring? Does sound carry in the jungle. DON'T MAKE ME COME OVER THERE.

When considering lots in Beaches and Shores, you'll want to remember the Miller and Lieb Water District moratorium on new hook-ups. They are in the process of making application for a new (additional) well, but told me last month it could take a long time. Catchment is the first alternative that comes to mind, but we don't get as much precip down here as they do even a few miles mauka.

But if you buy a house thats built alread no worry about the aqua it's flowin'

If you're already hooked up to water, you're good. Its only new hookups that are stalled.
HSRE stands for Hawaiian Shores Recreational Estates and its a subdivision next to Hawaiian Beaches, Parks and Shores.
