HELCO Solar Farms Proposed

ElysianWort-
I wasn’t sure if your comments were serious, or a joke either. Due to your previous posts.

"The great mystery is that such a state may be one of utter happiness, as it provides opinions concerning things, but no knowledge of the things themselves.” - Marguerite Young

The “scientific community” isn’t a bunch of people who get together and decide what’s kooky or not.
It’s a body of knowledge based on logic, reasoning and hard evidence.

If you choose to base your opinions on your supernatural “intuitions” then of course nobody can ever know where you stand on any subject, so your supposed jokes fall flat.

It doesn’t have to be this way, it’s never too late to embrace rationality.

Okay fine HOTPE. Fair enough. I'll be sure to either stiffen up and not joke anymore or put a notification post of a joke after doing so.

And Paul. I can just quote myself for you. Nothing new needed:

Speaking of jokes and funny stuff, your post: Everything you post is a joke, in one way or another. But there’s still hope. That definitely earns some humor points! (thumbs up). Earned A-hole points too but that's ok. You know you're being rude. There's hope for you too.

I’ve read your previous posts (and the responses) and knew it was a joke.

I also knew what the reaction to it was going to be (predictable)

Ok can we put that behind us now. I hope.

For the record I think a solar farm is an absolute no-brainer. Readily available resource from the sky. Obviously minimal pollution to the environment around (including noise) and good clean energy. I think Puna Geothermal will get back going eventually too. Sun, wind, waves, pele, etc. the more we can go independent and not burn oil or coal for energy the better off we are.

And yet, you can bet the house that somebody will be protesting this, especially when a location is chosen.
I visited a small island where people claim the windmills are driving the local donkeys insane.
