Mahalo for both response, it's not weed scrubs, it's viney weeds like Maile Pilau. It's invading my lot from empty lot next door, don't like using herbicide.

I have a neighbor with a goat and a sheep.

They both will NOT eat the Maile pilau. Not surprising because it is, well...pilau.

The goats will eat all your banana plants, ti plants, strip the bark on your fruit trees and eat anything else that you value. Sheep are a bit better for weed control because they wond ravage everything. Goats and sheep both do like honohono grass and the prickly mimosa sleeping grass. Both bad news weeds.

Cut and mow back and put chips on all those areas

My goats love the Maile Pilau.

But yeah, goats will eat all the things you DON'T want them to eat first. Then move onto the stuff you want gone. haha

And my sheep DO graze up like goats. They love bananas, palms, citrus trees.... ugh.

I've had the same idea a while back. But then some people said the same thing as here. Goats only resort to eating weeds when nothing else is available. They don't mind it, but they have a taste for nicer things first. haha
