Environmentalists Big Force in TMT Kill Effort?
#21
get those thousands of Hawaiians to march on Hawaiian Homelands and occupy their land

Too bad the media doesn't report on this irony, and the related costs.

Oh, right, DHHL has its own money, so it's not "costing" the taxpayer, therefore not a problem.

When the thousands of anti tmt peps march on the Mauna, i will be there with some of my club members and hopefully some of the parents of the happy STEM students that were blessed to fast track in the sciences to accelerate there learning.

The best way to understanding, is knowledge. Im so excited that tmt llc gave our kids a chance to excell in science by investing in our kid future instead of the kids in the Canary islands. I applaud the hawaiians of today ,that stand up proudly to say " i love the stars, they are part of what i am as a hawaiian. Just like loving the ocean,or the land ,lakes or rivers." I hear that from local friends and it makes me smile.

We can all learn from this TMT process. It has made us aware that we havent been the best
Stewards, and there is room for us to act more kindly to the Mauna, and with more respect and openness to those with different opinions as well. Maybe we will learn how to better take care of our beautiful Big Island.
Dark skies
Aloha

Dan - nice post, thank you.

Even if the TMT doesn't get built here, it has changed the life of so many young people who now might end up in a career of exploration and science. I hope it has also given those that have to deal with the anti-science nonsense here enough confidence to carry on and make a difference to our future. Stand up to nonsense and the local loonies and we might actually end up with bright students and an encouraging future.
