quote: Subdivision is a number of lots that used to be one parcel that was cut up to smaller pieces regardless of the size or location of the new lots within the subdivision. John,
A good concise explanation of a subdivision, thanks. Maybe you can give Carrie a better answer to: "What's a "Flag Lot?" Carrie" I did my best! S. FL Islander to be Edited by - oink on 09/12/2006 10:22:50

May I just say I love the name "Oink?" It's awesome. I kinda get it with the flag lot thing. Sounds actually like it would add a little more privacy being tucked away like that, but then you are very close to another property, yeah?

"What's a flag lot?" I can't give a better description than yours, "it's the actual shape of the lot." However, it does not necessary mean it's more private.

Thanks, oink and some others that pointed out to me that I must have mentally reversed the two subdivisions in my head. For some reason, I do that with those two. Mental block of some kind.

Which Subdivisions allow chickens? Beaches does, but HSRE doesn't? How about HPP?
09-18-2006, 01:48 PM
Only the subdivisions with active CC&Rs (Codes, Covenents and Restrictions) prohibit "livestock" like chickens. Those would be:
Leilani Hawaiian Shores Recreation Estates Nanawale (although there's a lot of wild chickens there) Aina Pua -- not sure on that one, but I think so Ainaloa is another one that I'd be questionable on -- they haven't in the past, but do seem to be getting more organized and might have a rule against it (Lee G -- help me out here) That's about all with restrictions. The main thing is if you neighbors complain, anywhere, it could be an issue. People don't usually complain as long as its not roosters crowing day and night. John, you must be from the Old School, the CC&R's stand for "Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions" now.
