The Incredible Shrinking Tulsi Gabbard
Yes glinda. I've heard several news stories since Saturday about other candidates who announced their intention to run for president - - Tulsi wasn't even mentioned. Not even as an also-running candidate or after thought at the close of the stories.
I think her baggage was/is just too much, starting with her support for the Hawaii Constitutional Amendment 2 in 1998, which defended traditional marriage and banned same sex unions. It passed with 69.2% of the vote.
Voters enjoy the luxury of discarding and forgetting their own doddery personal views, but won't overlook and forgive the same views abandoned by candidates when those positions go out of fashion.

Yes, I was struck by this line in the CB article:
“She’s also been praised by former KKK grand wizard David Duke, white supremacist Richard Spencer and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon,” Rolling Stone wrote.
Even before all that I feel Tulsi has yet to mature into a national politician. She continues to walk that line between being too complacent and too radical, but every time she tries for a little more edge she goes a little too far. It always feels like she has yet to gain the maturity that allows for an overview from a secure position. Instead when she tries for a hit she often falls flat. That dustup with Mazie last week for instance. What a bad move. I haven't even gone into the details about it, just OMG how can you dis a senior senator and expect to 'feel the love?'
Maybe she's angling for a VP seat on the Republican ticket?

So ... vote for a BIGOT...duke,spencer. an bannon voiced their support so Tulsi is one of them??? NOT

every ounce of character, when it comes to politicians is crucial and important to note. Past and present. It gives us an idea of what we may have to expect when we elect a person and pay for their wages out of our hard earned dollars.
Not anywhere close to being similar to knowing someone you might have hung out with, them being in jail and being guilty by association.
