Tractor Supply Co. to occupy former Safeway site
#1
This is great news.Too bad I no longer own property that needs maintaining.
A great place to buy nuts, bolts and other hardware. They sell it by the pound, so it is much cheaper than Ace or Home Depot.

Hopefully they can reclaim a piece of the parking lot. It can be a real booger to find parking on that side.

this is great news. heard the rumor over 3 years ago and finally it is happening. dels is certainly out of parking space. wonder how much parking lot they are getting for "stuff" like gates and fencing and brush mowers? i know an international co. bought the mall and that they would be filling up those empty spaces. glad one of them is dels.

What the article didn't say is that Del's wanted to move into that space a long time ago but the mall wouldn't lease to them because Safeway was already paying the lease and the mall management didn't want all of Del's stuff cluttering up the parking lot so long as somebody was already on the hook for the mall rent.

Fortunately the county inadvertently buggered that up for them.

Now that Safeway isn't paying, I don't know, $50,000/month for a space they aren't using, will they lower their prices?

Del's is moving into the old Safeway location. It's been empty since they moved into their current location several years ago. They couldn't get out of their mall lease, so they have been paying rent on two store locations, with only one store open.
