Acceptable lava field viewing areas?
#11
Most likely Jagger Museum at HVNP park will not be open in May (if ever.... it has some major earth-shake damage), however some of the exhibits are now at the HVNP museum in downtown Pahoa... so that is a another option... same for Nahuku (Thurston) lava tube.. they have started damage assessments, but shutdowns have pushed everything back..

& thanks gl for the sin catch!

As far as Leilano residents are concerned...
The sins of the tourists are many...

My sister actually learned about Kauman caves and already had it on her list. I haven't gone but would like to. My S.O. would find it too claustrophobic. Next visit I'll just go on my own.

SBH - Tourists and other lookie-loos are rampaging all over Leilani. They park in people's driveways, trespass across yards to try and get to the lava, stop in the middle of the street, etc.
