Pho'19 opening in Pahoa
#31
If I were starting any business today, I'd be monitoring every social media outlet, review site, and forum for mentions of my business, take criticism to heart, and reach out to customers to try to earn a second chance. Google will notify you every time your business/name/keywords are mentioned, so you can pretty much know everything anyone says about you.

That being said, I'd never open a brick and mortar full menu restaurant. Seen too many fail, and how much time and life they drain out of the owners!

We went there for lunch on Sunday. Most tables were occupied.

I had the beef pho and it was very good. My husband had the chicken noodle salad that came with fried spring rolls. It looked very good, but he said the sauce was not good. He said it was better at the New Saigon restaurant, across from the Pond in Hilo. I tasted his spring rolls, a little under fried but generous with the meat fillings.

"YES lodestone Destroyed.

Nothing nice to say fine, let your local friends know. The rest of the world can figure things out when they try the food themselves. Think about it.
"

The rest of the world knows nothing about Punaweb. By posting a review or an opinion about a local restaurant is letting local friends know. Folks in Asia, Europe or the mainland US aren't using this site to figure out where to eat; some local people do, however.

And since the restaurant is still in business, I have no idea how anyone can claim it was destroyed.

Thanks, terracore and others, for posting your own opinions.

RWR,

"Former Family resturant / bar owner. Restaurant sold and still going stong."

Since you've opened the door, which restaurant/bar was this?

Lemon Grass in Keaau makes a good thin noodle dish, and you can get it with cut up egg rolls. Try the food truck in the Wiki Fresh parking lot, and you will meet Leigh (spelling ??). She used to run a small restaurant in Pahoa. Fine food.

I have a LOT of in person friends here on Punaweb. So yeah, my review is letting my friends know.

I'm pretty sure terracores and my review won't destroy a business. There was plenty of folks happily eating there. People review food estabilishments here on punaweb all the time. Not sure why this one got RWR down.

Jon! We love Le Yellow Sub over by the wiki fresh! MMMMM I was just wanting to give some of our money to Pahoa town. We do like to go eat in Pahoa whenever we can since we live close, and its a much longer drive into Hilo.

Hung Phat is in the "food court" right on the main street next to the market. Aloydee is a Thai place across from it and there is a sushi place next to Aloydee . We like both of them. The place in the Lagoon center is a Thai Sandwich place which used to be Soontaree's. We haven't been there. My wife called them and they had changed their name. Maybe Hung Phat now, but the link was to the place next to the market.
