Anybody know the name of the goddess statue he sells that is Indian...buddist or hindu I'm thinking? She's tall and ornate...I used to know and keep forgetting her name.

Mahalo!

I believe you are referring to Kwan Yin (spellings vary) a Buddhist figure promoting inner peace , spiritual awareness, and compassion from a feminine perspective. Bear and I have one we got from the Makuu guy in our front garden.

BTW, we have quite a few of his statues and have been happy with the quality.

Cheers,
Jerry

My wife and I also have a number of his pieces. Tikis, Totems, Buddahs, Ganeshas and even a nice heavy bench adorn our wonderful garden.

We just wish he was more friendly! Smile

He does take a while to warm up, but is quite nice when you really get to know him. We got to visit his workshop up in Fern Acres, and it was fascinating. He showed us some pieces we never see at Makuu, but he has pictures of them so you don't have to go all the way up there. We went to pick up a piece too large to be brought into Makuu.

Cheers,
Jerry

Thanks so much Jerry. I too find that he's okay once you really talk a bit to him. He was actually dozing off and I had to yoo-hoo him a awake...she's pretty and I put her right where I can see her easily.

I would like a Ganesh next I think...he's got a cute one laying down.

Mahalo guys!
