For my part, I think the ignoramus should be kept out of 8th grade classrooms unless it’s for the purpose of taking remedial English.
It’s possible that Sen. Hirono is simply guilty of taking the New York Times far more seriously than anyone should. It was, after all, the rag formerly known as the paper of record that recently ran a headline that read: “Pregnancy Kills, Abortions Save Lives.”
It’s reminiscent of the first chapter of George Orwell’s “1984,” in which Big Brother’s slogans were listed: “War is Peace,” “Freedom is Slavery” and “Ignorance is Strength.”"
