Hilo Target Obstacle course

On a positive note - the clerks are more than happy to help you. I asked 2 different clerks & they were doing a great job.

I think being out of stock in Hilo is away of life. Ever store seems like one time or another is out of stock .I think living on a Island it is way of life It seems like mainland company's have a hard time figuring it out. Kta and Foodland does better at keeping stuff in stock.

You really cannot imagine the disarray and confusion unless you’ve been there during this transition. It is like nothing I’ve ever seen in any store, ever.
Everything seems fine until you pass the cash registers, then the maze begins, with piles of boxes mid isle, shelves pushed every which way, whole banks of empty shelves and refrigeration units, dairy and produce moved to back of store, (in no reasonable order) employees looking lost. I told a few Employees I couldn’t find something, and they said neither could they. Talked to 2 Managers after I finally found my way back to the checkstands, and told him everyone needs a map and a 20$ gift Certificate just to enter the doors. We’re seriously not going back until after August.

Yeah, it's a crazy remodel and frustrating. And yes, the clerks are everywhere and are very helpful. I've notice the last few times that their prices are rising. Not the great "deal" place as much anymore. Wonder what prices will be like when the "new" version is completed. I think we will avoid it also. Staff said they are enlarging the foods section.

I think prices are expensive anywhere on the island. It’s also the GE taxes along with sales tax. KTA and Foodland are more expensive but the meat is better there.

Doing business on the island is expensive. Costs are passed along.

It doesn't have to be this way, but it's what we get.

I haven't been there since Shipt started delivering things from Target to our house.

BY the way, you can also order things from Target online, and get 5% off if you have a red card.

Target also has in store only specials on their app using Cartwheel (in the app).
I’ve never tried it, but overheard two people discussing the discounts which they said are fairly substantial. Both of them were pretty excited about the whole thing.
