Ok, just have to post this LOL
Apparently reading the St Joesph/RE selling stuff can also be powerful. Seems as this thread was "hot" so was someone for our house for sale. We got an initial offer Aug 27th. Today it closed YEAAAAAAAAAAA. On the market just over a year.
We are so happy to have it done.
Best of luck to all other with mainland property to sell.

Way to go David! That must be a relief! We are still hoping for ours in Arizona to sell...St. Joseph still there...maybe need to talk to him more - get the mojo goin'

I buried a St Joseph n the front next to the sign 2 weeks ago and have had no luck. Then again, I only did the paryer once when I buried it, and I'm not really religious anymore so that may have something to do with it.
Getting ready for yet another open house today, it's been over 2 months and nothing. We have the house open every week. I know it's sow goin' right now, but I just wanto to get it overwith so I can move on to my next phase in life.
I'm not sure about St Joseph, but then again, I'm not very religious, like I said.

Well...we just signed papers today. We are going with a Lease Option to Buy on our Arizona home. The guy who we are selling to will be paying a good enough rent for two years to cover the mortgage and our LOC for the down on our Hawai'i house...and all the electric and other bills too. He loves the house, is a professional guy whom our realtor (a friend) says is a great guy - A+++
I can't tell you what a relief it will be to no longer have to pay TWO mortgages. And he's planning on improving on the house by turning the 1/2 bath into a full bath...so there will be quite an investment for him and incentive to purchase...we got nearly what we asked for it..although we'll have to wait a bit for it, it will be an easier wait for sure!

You know it, Jon. Not the ideal situation but really when we worked out the numbers...we actually do better financially to have the Lease Option working for us.
