DHHL is seeking a private attorney
#41
Are you a legal authority...

I’m not a legal authority, but I can often recognize someone who is. People who take the law into their own hands generally have little legal authority or plausibility.

"Try to view this thread in the light of the SUBJECT line of this thread...The RCUH is part of the UH, which is counseled by the AG, which also counsels other State agencies...A glaring Conflict of Interest in this case...my opinion of course!"

RCUH is attached to the university but is not part of it. It is also not a state dept. You brought them into this thread for no good reason. You made up stuff about observatory funding of UH, brought in RCUH which has nothing to do with DHHL, is not a state agency, is not responsible for raising money for research at UH and as far as I can see is an organisation you just pulled out of your arse because you think they do stuff they don't.

Now, finally, onto Frank's next piece of misinformation:

"[...] coupled with $430 million in research moneys taken in from telescopes alone for the University of Hawaii last year."

This was responded to early in the thread. It's a completely false claim with no basis in fact, but Frank hasn't addressed this and instead has attempted to deflect the discussion to other issues. I'm now asking Frank to either back up his statement about $430 million taken from the telescopes last year or simply apologize for posting something that isn't true.

It's all just words. Clicky-clack onto the screen. Beep, boop.

I've given up hope that anyone will ever really do anything. Everyone for themselves! Build a greenhouse, stockpile some ammo, whatever you gotta do...

Unlike you, Kalakoa, I still feel that truth is the way forward and just surrendering is not a solution to anything - it means you have given up and probably shouldn't be contributing anything or anywhere as others with a more fighting spirit will just roll their eyes at you and continue. You might think it's just words but there are many of us affected in real life with what's happening now on Mauna Kea and maybe you should remember that.

I stand by my assertion. What is government doing about the ongoing road blockade? Words like "unlawful". What is the telescope community doing about the problem? Words like "patience". How about that Mayor Kim: he's up to version 109 of his words, and has been seen in public holding printed copies of them.

The courts have scheduled more words for November.

Yes, real people are having their lives affected. Including us "ordinary residents" who get to pay for all the words.

An awful lot, actually, except you don't get to see what's going on behind the scenes. However, the MK Observatories don't have any legal enforcement powers as you very well know, so we're powerless in that respect.

So just like Mayor Kim's "Vision", then.
