Let's say that the average fine is $150, then the ticket revenue would be $1,250,000 or 40% of the HPD budget excess. That's a conservative estimate, though, since speeding fines can easily be much more. I've never understood why Hawaii counties do all the enforcement, but get none of the fine revenue.

The County is providing construction equipment and building materials for the protestors to move their illegal structures.

Please tell me if I have got this wrong. Harry Kim and the county are preferentially providing support for the TMT protesters while doing nothing to support the TMT.
Right?

Look at the workers in hardhats and safety vests in the photo. Provided by the County too? Along with equipment and materials?

Also, I recently sent an email to Hawaii News Now, who have continued using the photo of the protestors from last summer with every article. I pointed out that Mauna Kea Access Road has not looked like their summer rally picture for many months, and it doesn't provide accurate and up to date coverage in their reports. I haven't received a reply, and although they continue to use the outdated photo, they have also added more timely images in their articles.

File an ethics complaint. That'll show 'em.
What's not to understand? The protesters are family.

Harry is giving TMT more time to think about the Canary Islands since all permits have been secured there and construction of the telescope can now start immediately.

At Thanksgiving dinner, so many crazy onkels* seated at the table. And Harry’s the turkey.
* like the guy at the barricade last week explaining in a video why Hawaiians weren’t Hawaiians

Went up to Visitor center last night.hoping to give star tour to visitors.
Vis closes at 6 pm. No scopes, no staff, no viewing. The new street lites in The parking lot are so bright and no way to turn them off. They even lock the toilets at 6 pm. And u must use way full porta potties.
The power station across from vis was fine. No lites.
Back to the Mauna i love
