If you're concerned about this virus reaching the islands, and Puna, you might want to stop at your nearest Long's and buy a pack of anti-viral facemasks (Curad is one manufacturer which makes anti-viral specific masks). They don't keep many in stock, and I wouldn't count on Amazon to ship in 2 days if the virus starts spreading on the mainland.

It's also a coincidence for this outbreak to occur just before the travel holiday of the year. This is the only time in an entire year most Chinese working away from home get to come home and see their families. Yep just once a year, what a wonderful government controlled regulation.

This is interesting.
I wanted to post a link to the Curad masks at Amazon. If you search for "anti viral face mask" the drop down menu auto fills Curad, but if you click the Curad masks are nowhere to be found. I assume they're already sold out.
Here's a partial message from another facemask seller:

I don't believe we have anything to worry about: LFA, coquies, Dengue, volcanoes, etc we have a rich heritage of effective and robust reactions from our government. I'm sure there is something good on TV to watch and there is nothing to worry about.
