Wuhan Corona Virus Coming Soon? (Now Here)
Well then in a months time, I suspect there will be a special forum section like the 2018 eruption where we can talk about things like this in our neighborhoods.

Here’s a link to the Coronavirus pamphlet, it’s a Twitter page because the link provided by Civil Defense goes to their server, not the pamphlet:

Kander, that video you shared Sure doesn't look like normal Flu treatment.

Just A few questions here:
Does this Coronavirus flu sicken men and women equally?
Could one contact this Coronavirus more than once?
Are passengers on the many Cruiseships that visit the Islands being checked for flu like symptoms before they dock or walk?

Hawaii officials Tuesday toured a Pearl Harbor quarantine site provided by the Navy to monitor the dwindling number of U.S. citizens returning to the United States from Hubei province in China, which is the epicenter of a coronavirus outbreak.

State Health Director Bruce Anderson said he’s hopeful that six or fewer individuals — civilians or perhaps military members or dependents — will need to be quarantined for two weeks at the undisclosed location on the military base.

Yeah, that wouldn't work so well around here as uncle Kimo just show up with a glock and a grinder. Maybe doable in Honolulu, but not here.

If the TMT situation shows anything, it's that the civil authorities can't control even a few hundred uncooperative individuals. I doubt they'd be able to do much in the sprawling wilds of Puna, or the mobs at Walmart in Hilo, should nCov come to visit.

Maybe they could update the pamphlet with survival tips, like “how to get two with one shot” and “mongoose, if properly prepared, tastes like chicken.”

Very interesting perspective in this article comparing our reaction to influenza "a" vs. coronavirus. Puna people, take heed of the flu this year that's already here with the possibility of exceeding 60,000 deaths before the season is over.....

"Yet even after the nation’s 33rd pediatric influenza death this flu season was memorialized in the most public way by tinting the thundering falls, there was no public panic. There was no mass buying of face masks as there has been in more recent days in fearful anticipation of the new coronavirus, which so far has not been known to kill any Americans of any age. Flu has killed more than 10,000 in the United States so far this season, and the death toll may exceed 60,000, but the items that flew off the shelves after Luca’s death were lightbulbs of his favorite hue." https://www.thedailybeast.com/flu-not-co...ca-calanni

Not sure if this has been discussed or not...but isn't the real fear with the virus is that it can mutate into something deadly that cannot be controlled/cured. I thought this virus in and of itself is not deadly but if a mutation occurs that is, then anyone catching the mutated version can die. Or maybe, catching the 1st form (non deadly, non mutated form) is the best vaccine for the deadly version if that were to occur.

Just a wild theory, maybe I'm wrong about all this. Not suggesting anyone get the virus to prevent future viruses, that would be silly.
