Castyleblock: Only prefab? Well, no. we can factory precut any house plan but if someone wants to do all the cutting in the field they can (?).
Genrally the wall panels and roof panels all come precut. Interior walls are built in the field using wood or (preferred) metal studs.

Rob, I would really like to tour a Castleblock house. Any chance in doing so this weekend?

Rob,
What happened with your Castleblock web site? I clicked on the link you gave in your message and got this:

Strange, This happened last week too. Okay, here's a back up way into the site. I will email my web master about it. Thanks for pointing out the problem.

Did you see Rob's reference to my thread "Ninole Progress"? Our house is ProTEC. The pics are current as of last Friday.
Take a look, then if you'd like to visit our project, you'd be most welcome. As you can see, this is not a prefab kit, Sophie and I designed it, a local draftsman recommended by Rob did the drawings and got the permit. We are owner-builders. Come take the nickle tour and ask all your questions. We'll be at the Puna Party Sat. We love showing off this project
David
If my son and family were to move here and I could get permission for additional farm dwelling, the house I'd build for them would be ProTEC.

Thanks for the invite David. I may just take you up on it. I’ll know more after Sunday’s tour at Rob’s house if I’ll be choosing ProTech. Rastra sounds interesting too. I won’t be able to make the party on Saturday so I’ll just keep track of you here at the Punaweb. Mahalo & Aloha!
