Given the notion that the government & media companies are in cahoots, what does this say about content such as "Out of the Shadows" being on YouTube (which is owned by Google, a provider of IT services to the CIA and other government agencies?)

Yes Carlin! Metropolis was certainly a good flick. Might have to watch that one again.


I think that video will be taken down too from YT it contains copyrighted material in it, fair use or educational purposes be damned. A lot of videos that go against the grain of the media mantra are.
Another good documentary to watch is Hoaxed. Although Amazon removed it (from prime) without reason last week its still available elsewhere.

Hey, now we're talking demographics! An interesting exercise..

Note that you now have be sure you are on the 'Explorer' panel to see the data in map view. Once there set the covid19 data to show % Daily Change In Cases. I think of this as showing the areas where the virus is spreading the most.. the areas of accelerating outbreaks.

I also think of this as a kind of feedback on how different containment and migration policies in different areas are working. The first wave, the crisis in NY for instance, which began weeks ago, I consider to be more the luck of the draw. Being central to world travel they were the obvious candidate. They got it and had to learn to respond in real time.

But a second wave of this crisis, if we are to have one, is going to be driven by the success and failure of each area to learn from what happened to places like NY and set their own containment and migration policies in place before they too could be overwhelmed. As such, this far into this crisis, and watching the data as it changes with each passing day, it's becoming clearer that there is a pattern to how Covid19 is spreading.

The richness of this data set, and its interface with each county shown and the details one gets when hovering over each is great. And adding the other demographics is so cool. In the last few days I have particularly appreciated how political party affiliation, measured by percentage of voter preferences, is becoming very telling. Try setting the demographics layer to % Votes For Republican Candidates (use either party, the results are the same). I haven't done all the correlation, to quantify each county and in what state blah blah blah but it seems that a clear pattern is emerging where the highest amount of increase in cases is taking place, by an overwhelming percentage, in Republican districts.

It's as if those that were quicker in accepting the science and acting accordingly are now way better off than those that waited and followed the executive's lead. And now, as Covid19 is moving into the heartland, that simple fact is showing itself very graphically. It's sad that our administrations failures have to be measured in such terms. Hopefully we'll learn something from it.

I looked a the data, and the most concentrated and highest death rates are in democratic voting counties. Im surprised nobody mentioned that a couple days ago. Even counties outside of the democratic strong holds are becoming infected as it washes over the map.

By your logic Democrats started it and gave it to republicans because large growth of cases in conservative areas.

Here’s another theory. The virus infects people where they live in close contact with one another, for instance, Manhattan. And it doesn't infect many in a northern Wyoming county where 3 people share a hundred thousand acres with 10,000 beef cattle.
