If you're looking for direct deposit, it should happen much, much more quickly. I don't personally know anybody who has received one but a friend of mine's daughter got hers this AM.

I have to suppress a very loud chuckle because of this "stimulus".

Do you really think that 6 months down the road when the virus will have recently peaked, and economic repercussions are beginning to permeate everywhere throughout our country, that this huge $1200 "stimulus check" will take care of your problems?
It is just something to make you feel better and to keep you quiet for now.

I'm convinced most of this stimulus package is going into the pockets of corporations and the rich.
You and all the rest of us peons will see little to nothing from it.
Get ready for the possibility of another 10 year depression.

Room mate just told me her bank shows it there and will clear tomorrow.... If you don't file taxes and live on SS, then they will be out next week.

Since many folks here don’t actually need a part of the $2T stimulus package, is anyone considering donating their $1200 to someone who actually needs it?

I know, money for nothing and your chicks for free, but wondering...

Cheers,

We plan to donate ours to our kids, since they both need it and we do not. Not gonna tell 'em til it happens, tho.

It probably needs a new topic. I have been afraid to start it.

Just this moment got my $1200 stimulus check via direct deposit. I'm old and on a fixed income, pension [hopefully secure], which is adequate for my immediate needs. So I have chosen one person on da big island to help and one in India to help. My guru instructed that one cannot give to everyone one sees who is in need so to choose one and help them generously. Advice I hold to.
