Inter island flights for medical reasons?
#11
Just got back yesterday and I went last week as well. You can ask ahead of time or easier after you land to show the people some medical paperwork.

@ChunksterK:  I've had excellent dermatology care at Kaiser Hilo, I was just saying it's ridiculous to have a phone appt for a cancer body scan.  After being diagnosed w/ Basal Cell  in Dec. & needing MOHs surgery, I left for CA for 6 months.  Hilo Kaiser Dermatology Dept. & ERIN N WILMER MD kept calling me in CA to get it done. They kept in touch the whole time for follow-up.  Back here now, I got to see Dr. Wilmer yesterday & she did a biopsy, results  to come.

@DoryGray: Thanks for the info. It's good to know that you could be seen quickly when you needed it. They continue to be all over the place when it comes to continuity of care, however. My last four checks were done by four different doctors, and I've had to make multiple calls to get routine 6 month checks scheduled. I do not currently have one, having been told, "We'll call you when we have a slot available, but call us if you see a suspicious growth." Having had five biopsies and two surgeries, I don't like to take chances.

microage97, did you fill out the online forms mentioned in this thread, or?? It looks like the form is filled out online. I might be in trouble if I have to make a copy of something. Don't have that capability. I had been relying on the Hilo Library if I needed to print something. We're done with computers. Too many problems with viruses, scams etc. We have a Chrome book and Kindle Fire Seven.
