Local - Big Island Motors near Ponds in Hilo. It was one of the few places I saw selling new cars for less than MSRP. There's a new version of the car I bought coming out very soon but they are trying to clear out their slightly older inventory. If I'd waited then I would have to pay 2 or 3 thousand dollars more and may not have got all the safety features I have with this version. Nearly everything was done online as well. Definitely a much better experience than I had with Orchid Isle with my last car and the sales-person, Jonathan, was a pleasure to work with.

Great looking dash and controls. I really like my newer cars with all those bells and whistles.
I sometimes drive long distances on the mainland and that lane change warning is a lifesaver.

Obie - the tech is incredible and I was surpised to find it in a car that wasn't very expensive. I feel like I'm driving a much more expensive car than I am. The warranty is great as well and maintenance is free for the first three years. I agree about the lane-change warning/blind-spot warning, but I also love the adaptive cruise control, it speeds or slows down the car depending on what's happening in front of you.
It also has Android Auto which is something everyone seems to be raving about, but I haven't set it up yet.

Good choice. A bad choice would be a VW, like I have, with virtually no repair guys on island. And don’t say Bears.

Yep. I actually like VW vehicles but a friend of mine bought a used VW and had to take it over to the Kona side for maintenance. For that reason I didn't even consider buying one.

Back in the 80s in Europe there was the Ford Orion. Other than that, yes, I'm struggling to think of other cars that have astronomical names. SiriusXM doesn't count (but apparantly I have it for free right now). Does Enterprise car rental count?
